Our New Balcony Herb Garden

I finally have a small herb garden. Nothing too fancy, just herbs I was able to find at Cartimar. We will hopefully have more plants if Glo is able to get seeds to sprout.

I thought I had bought an Ashitaba plant, as that’s what the seller had told me. However, it didn’t have the characteristic yellow sap. It turns out it’s a similar herb, Gynura Procumbens. It is often mistaken or mislabeled as ashitaba for those who don’t know. The leaf description is similar enough if you’ve never seen either plant before. Now that I have Gynura Procumbens, I’ll know to be on the look out for ashitaba.
