New Perspectives via a New Lens

First full day with my Petzval lens. I took some pictures around the house to test how it goes.

The lens focal length is 85mm.  You do need to be at least 2 feet away to get the lens to focus. And 3-4 feet away so you can get a good background in. I’m using a Canon 1000D. As it’s not a full frame sensor camera, I don’t get the full view of the lens. This lens is going to get me to upgrade to a full sensor camera really soon.

You need to have things in varying distances from the lens to make it shine.

To see how the lens fares with food shot, I took pictures while our lunch was cooking out in the balcony.

Small objects are a challenge to take with this lens. But depending on your background, is really interesting.
