Dumaguete

I went to Dumaguete with some relatives of mine this past week. Internet connection was spotty at the resort, so I’m doing a long post to make up for all the days I wasn’t able to post for my pictures.
Sunday night before we left, Tito Louie, Jet, and Denise celebrated their birthday at their house. It was also Javee’s despedida. And a party to welcome Tita Naty, Tito Tony, Regina, and Asher to the Philippines.
They had F.I.M. (Friends in Music) perform at their house to celebrate.

Monday we went to Dumaguete via NAIA Terminal 3.

We stayed at Atmosphere Resort in Dauin, Dumaguete.

Tuesday we went to Apo Island, but forgot to bring an underwater camera. We saw sea turtles while we were snorkeling. After lunch, we did some exploring on the island.

Some of us hiked to the lighthouse. The locals said it was about 300+ steps. That was so way off the mark! It felt like 1,000 steps at least!

There were two lighthouses. One was in ruins. Leal tried climbing it but it was too rickety for her to reach the top.

There was an another structure she did climb. I’m guessing it to be an antenna of some sort.

Wednesday, most of the group went to Siquijor. I had already gone there when Nicky and Junjay got married, so I decided to stay with Tita Berna in the resort and have lunch at Lab-as in Dumaguete City. They have really good seafood. It’s worth the drive from the resort.Â

Thursday, we decided to hang around at the resort.

We did go back to town to have dinner at an ihawan. There is a reason I’m forgetting the name.Â

Friday morning, I found this cute mushroom growing in front of our suite in the resort.

We drove around town before heading to the airport.Â
