Showgirl Showcasing Shading
Showgirl was the first Zentangle pattern I learned to do on my own. This showgirl is showcasing different ink shading techniques.
There’s stippling,  parallel lines, contour lines, and cross-hatching. Stippling is where you use dots to create shades. Parallel lines are marks drawn straight, following the same direction, but never cross. Contour lines follow the curve and plane of objects. Cross-hatching are marks that are drawn straight, and intersect at certain points.
All the lines were done with a Staedtler 0.1mm tech pen with black drawing ink.
